Shraddha's father meets top cop, seeks info on daughter's pending complaint

Father of Shraddha Walkar met with Mumbai Police Commissioner today and stated that he has made a petition on his daughter’s 2020 pending complaint.

Vikas Walkar, the father of Shraddha Walkar, who was killed and mutilated into bits by her live-in lover, met with Mumbai Police Commissioner Madhukar Pandey today and stated that he has made a petition on his daughter’s 2020 pending complaint.

Vikas Walkar said “I was looking for information on a complaint filed by my daughter in 2020. As a result, I’ve filed a petition for the same. That might be relevant in the future for the case. I also protested to the police commissioner about Aaftab’s family. Despite having all of the facts, Aftab’s family remained silent “.

He further added, “Yes, I’ve been told that the DNA samples (his own and that of the found bones) matched. Let’s wait and see what occurs.”

He said that the head officer informed him that action would be taken and an inquiry would be launched into the alleged carelessness in processing the 2020 complaint.

Shraddha’s live-in boyfriend and murder suspect, Aaftab Poonawala, filed a bail plea in Delhi’s Saket Court on Friday, which the court is expected to hear on Saturday.

Poonawala was arrested last month and is presently being held in Tihar jail based on his confession of murdering Walkar and slicing her body into 35 pieces to dispose of it.
