Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the Vande Bharat Express train linking Secunderabad and Visakhapatnam through video link on Sunday at 10:30 a.m.

This will be the Indian Railways’ ninth Vande Bharat Express train. Earlier on Saturday, Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw performed a pre-launch inspection of the Vande Bharat train.

In response to PM Modi’s flagging off of the Vande Bharat Express service on the auspicious occasion of Pongal, Vaishnaw said on Saturday, “It’s a huge gift, and I thank Prime Minister for this hugely popular train, a modern, world-class train that will connect the two Telugu-speaking people and the major cities that will be connected tomorrow. It will be a huge benefit to our region.”

The Vande Bharat Express train, which would run between Secunderabad and Visakhapatnam, will be the first to connect the Telugu-speaking states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, covering a distance of around 700 kilometres, according to the announcement.

The train will stop in Andhra Pradesh at Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry, and Vijayawada, and in Telangana at Khammam, Warangal, and Secunderabad.

Vande Bharat Express’s indigenously developed train set is outfitted with cutting-edge passenger comforts. According to the statement, it will make train travel quicker, more pleasant, and more convenient.
