ITV network organised the first edition of We Women want and Shakti award 2022 on Wednesday, August 24.
We had Dr. Deepa Malik and Shweta Sharma who are para athletes; Nitu Ghanghas, and Pinki Rani Jangra who are Indian boxers were speaking during first session Shakti award conclave.


In session titled ‘Rise of women towards Excellence in sports’, Deepa Malik grabbed attention of audience while sharing her struggle story. She thanked ITV for empowering women through this conclave. While expressing she said, “No medical problem can stop me from feeling beautiful”.


As the session proceeded, Shweta Sharma elaborated her journey from divorce to standing on her own. She stated, “ There is success only after a struggle”. She expressed, “After divorce, I went to my parent’s house with my two kids, I used to live in tension, I used to cry every day and then one day I decided to do something for myself”.


When Pinki Jangra was asked about her victory over Mary Kom, she said, “My confidence was boosted when I defeated my idol Mary Kom”. Pinky told that she is lucky as her parents encouraged and supported her in every step of her journey.
Nitu Ghanghas elaborated her experience and told that her father is her biggest supporter.
