India’s batting sensation, Virat Kohli, has returned to his homeland following the birth of his child in London. The prolific cricketer was absent from the recent five-match Test series against England due to personal reasons. Kohli was sighted at Mumbai airport, marking his first public appearance since the arrival of his son, Akaay.

Anticipated to rejoin the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) training camp imminently for the forthcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Kohli’s team is slated to face Chennai Super Kings in the season opener on March 22.

The 35-year-old, now a father for the second time, abstained from the Test series due to personal commitments. He spent recent weeks in London alongside his wife, Anushka Sharma, and daughter, Vamika. The news of his newborn son was announced on February 20.

Initially included in India’s squad for the first two Tests against England, Kohli withdrew his participation just before the series commenced, opting to sit out the entire event.
