Prominent activist and spokesperson for the United Kashmir People’s National Party (UKPNP), Sardar Nasir Aziz Khan, strongly criticized Pakistan at the United Nations for its alleged atrocities against the people of Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK) and Gilgit Baltistan (GB).

Speaking at the ongoing 55th United Nations Human Rights Council Session, Khan highlighted the concerning human rights situation in these regions, where he claims people are deprived of various rights including economic, social, cultural, civil, and political liberties. He also mentioned restrictions on fundamental freedoms such as expression, speech, movement, and assembly, along with political party endorsements and loyalty declarations for government jobs and elections.

Khan further expressed concerns about protests against resource exploitation, electricity issues, and oppressive measures used by the government to silence dissent. Additionally, he criticized Pakistan for using blasphemy laws violently and emphasized the need for UN intervention to assess human rights and ensure Pakistan’s compliance with international obligations.
