Several food videos have gone viral on social media featuring weird combinations, but this time it’s not a video; it’s a food scam. In the office canteen of Tata Motors, a commonly enjoyed snack – the samosa – was found to be stuffed with condoms, stones, and tobacco. This bizarre incident occurred in the Pune office of Maharashtra. The police have filed an FIR against five individuals linked to the case.

It has been revealed that the 5 accused individuals – Rahim Shaikh, Azhar Shaikh, Mazar Shaikh, Azar Shaikh, and Vicky Shaikh – committed the crime purposely.

Revenge Taken

The five accused claimed to have committed this bizarre crime and reasoned that they did it out of anger following the cancellation of their contract by the company. One of the accused has already been apprehended, while further investigation is ongoing.

According to reports, the incident occurred in the Pimpri Chinchwad area of Pune. Kirtikumar Shankarrao Desai, an officer of a company located in Chikhali, complained with the police on Sunday, April 7th, 2024.

In his complaint filed at the Chikhli police station, he mentioned that his company had received an order for food supplies from another company in Chikhli. As part of this order, Kirtikumar had agreed with a company named SRS Enterprises for the supply of samosas.

The owner of the SRS company, identified as Rahim Shaikh, became the focus of attention when Kirtikumar reported discovering a bandage, typically used for wounds, within the samosas supplied by SRS.

Upon receiving this complaint, Tata Motors terminated its contract with SRS and reassigned the samosa supply order to another Pune-based company, Manohar Enterprises. This decision infuriated Rahim Shaikh, prompting him to conspire with his associates, Azhar Sheikh and Mazar Sheikh.

On March 27, 2024, Rahim Shaikh instructed his workers to fill samosas with condoms, gutkha, and stones. These adulterated samosas were then distributed between 7:30 and 9 in the morning.

Upon receiving complaints from company staff, Kirtikumar lodged a formal complaint with the police station. An FIR has been registered against Rahim Shaikh, Firoz Shaikh, Vicky Shaikh, Azar Shaikh, and Mazar Shaikh. Legal action has been initiated against them under Sections 328, 120-B, and 34 of the IPC. Presently, one suspect has reportedly been apprehended, while the investigation continues.

Notably, a similar incident was reported from Vadodara, Gujarat, where beef was discovered in samosa samples obtained from a shop named ‘Hussaini Samosawala’ in the Chipwad area.

Police have filed a case and arrested six individuals identified as Yusuf Shaikh, Naseem Shaikh, Hanif Bhatiara, Dilawar Pathan Moin Habdal, and Mobin Shaikh. The business, located on the fifth floor of a building, was operating without a license. ‘Hussain Samosawala’ supplied raw samosas to various shops in Vadodara, where shopkeepers would fry and sell them to customers.
