President Droupadi Murmu unfurled the national flag at Kartavya Path, accompanied by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto. The ceremony included the national anthem and a 21-gun salute.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge extended the party's Republic Day greetings to the people. “This year, we complete 75 years of adopting the conscience keeper and soul of the Indian Republic – the Constitution of India. Sharing my message on the same. Jai Bapu, Jai Bheem, Jai Samvidhaan,” said Kharge on X.

One of the key attractions of the Kartavya Path parade will be the Veterans' Tableau, themed 'Viksit Bharat ki Ore Sadaiv Agrasar'. This tableau serves as a heartfelt homage to the indomitable spirit of our veterans, embodying discipline, resilience, and unwavering commitment.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the nation on Republic Day 2025. “Today, we celebrate 75 glorious years of being a Republic. We bow to all the great women and men who made our Constitution and ensured that our journey is rooted in democracy, dignity and unity. May this occasion strengthen our efforts towards preserving the ideals of our Constitution and working towards a stronger and prosperous India,” he said in a post on X.
