Parliament Monsoon Session Day 3 Live Updates: Opposition Demands Immediate Discussion On Operation Sindoor, Chaos Over Bihar SIR
The Monsoon Session of Parliament has entered its third day amid a continuing deadlock over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar. The first two days ended by disruptions, with the Opposition staging protests and stalling proceedings over the issue.
Wednesday is expected to see a similar impasse as the Opposition presses for answers, while also demanding an immediate discussion on Operation Sindoor, a request that the government has agreed to. The persistent standoff highlights the charged political atmosphere dominating the session.

The Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day following continuous sloganeering by Opposition members over the Bihar SIR issue.
BJP MP Jagdambika Pal strongly criticized the Opposition, accusing them of disrupting Parliament proceedings for political motives. He said the Opposition deliberately avoids participating in debates inside the House, while falsely claiming they aren’t being allowed to speak.“They are spreading lies. When they win elections, they stay silent, but when they lose, they blame the EVMs and the voter lists,” Pal said. “Their MPs don’t sit inside the House. Union Minister SP Singh Baghel remarked, “If the Opposition allows the House to function, the achievements of our Armed Forces under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership particularly the success of Operation Sindoor will come into focus. And that’s exactly what unsettles the Opposition.”
The central government has listed six bills for discussion in today’s Monsoon Session agenda. These include the National Sports Governance Bill, 2025, aimed at promoting sports and ensuring welfare measures for sportspersons, and the National Anti-Doping (Amendment) Bill, 2025.
