Gool blast case: J&K police recover 2 grenades on disclosure of main accused

The explosives, according to authorities, were hidden in the Jabbar woods with the purpose of being deployed against security troops soon.

Shoket Ali Laiwal was detained in connection with the case a few days ago, and after lengthy interrogation, he confessed to taking part in a plot to lobby for the use of explosives against security forces and revealed that he had hidden two more live grenades in the Jabbar forest of the Gool area, according to the police.

The two live grenades were found on the scene in the presence of SSP Ramban Mohita Sharma IPS, SDPO Gool Nihar Ranjan, Naib Tehsildar Gool Nazir, and other police station Gool officers after a special team was dispatched to the scene along with the main conspirator Shoket Ali Laiwal to reveal the exact location.

A person or persons unknown launched an explosive at Police Post Ind, which was under the control of Police Station Gool, on August 2, 2022.

In response to this, a case was opened and an investigation started at Police Station Gool.
