On Friday, the Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs, Nirmala Sitharaman, virtually launched seven infrastructure projects collectively valued at over Rs 1,000 crore from the national capital.

The Finance Minister initiated the construction of the Departmental Residential Complex at Sector 28 in Faridabad, Haryana. The complex consists of 198 quarters of Type-II and III, is dedicated to providing housing for officials of the Income Tax Department.

Additionally, Sitharaman laid the foundation stone for a residential complex at Sector 53, Gurugram, which comprises of 214 quarters ranging from Type-II to VI. This complex aims to offer sufficient dwelling units for officers and officials of the Income Tax Department.

The Finance Minister also inaugurated a departmental residential complex at Sector-9 in Dwarka, New Delhi. This complex, featuring 256 quarters of Type-IV, V, and VI, is designed to cater to the housing needs of middle and senior-level officers of CBIC.

In the realm of the Department of Financial Services (DFS), Ministry of Finance, Nirmala Sitharaman inaugurated several key structures. The inauguration ceremony further extended to the new head office building of United India Insurance Company Ltd. in Chennai.
