Uttarakhand Police on Saturday said that the STF has so far detained 34 persons in connection with the document leak investigation involving the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC).
STF added that the case resulted in the recovery of cash totaling Rs 92 lakh. According to Ajay Sigh, Senior Superintendent of Police, STF Uttrakhand, “a total of 92 lakh cash has so far been seized in paper leak, along with illicit assets worth crores of the accused caught in the past, and dozens of bank accounts have also been blocked.”
Sampanna Rao, a significant copying mafia collaborator from Uttar Pradesh, has been detained by the STF.
According to STF, the accused Sampanna Rao was apprehended at Gomtinagar, Lucknow, on the strength of solid technical evidence.
“The STF Uttarakhand has been successful in apprehending a significant ally of the Uttar Pradesh copying mafia. Sampanna Rao, who is suspected of mimicking gangster Sadiq Musa and was originally a resident of Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, was apprehended by STF in Gomtinagar, Lucknow, based on solid evidence and technological proof “SSP Ajay Singh said.
The SSP added that Sampan Rao, one of the accused, and other accused individuals used to travel to and stay in Haldwani before to the exam in order to leak the paper.
The STF has also obtained Rs 3.80 lakh from the accused in the test leak case in addition to this.
In the document leak case, SSP recently detained police constable Vinod Joshi.
According to Ajay Singh, senior superintendent of police, “During the investigation of the UKSSSC paper leak case, on base of statements and evidence of accused and witness detained previously, the accused Vinod Joshi resident of Sitarganj Udham Singh Nagar was arrested on the basis of evidence.” Joshi is now being held by authorities.
According to the SSP, the accused Vinod Joshi and his brother were given a residence in Kudeshwari the night before the test, along with the applicants for the VDO/VPDO recruiting programme where the test’s questions were answered.
On the basis of the evidence that he drove multiple test subjects from one location to another, the accused has also been detained.
