CM Dhami meets workers at Chinyalisaur Community Health Centre

All 41 workers, who were trapped inside Uttarakhand’s Silkyari tunnel since November 12, were successfully evacuated on Tuesday evening.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the Chinyalisaur Community Health Centre on Wednesday to meet the rescued workers who are currently receiving treatment, a day after their successful evacuation.

Accompanied by senior officials of the state government during his visit, CM Dhami interacted with each worker, inquiring about their health and well-being.

CM Dhami expressed his joy over the successful rescue of the 41 trapped workers from the Uttarkashi tunnel. He noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was consistently briefed on the mission, receiving daily updates without missing a single day.

“The mission was very challenging and all the people working in it have contributed. I thank everyone, especially our Prime Minister. I never heard that even for a single day the Prime Minister missed any update on the rescue mission. He took cognizance of even the minutest details of the rescue operation and extended his advice on how we could proceed further,” said Dhami.
“PM Modi explained everything about how to motivate the experts who were fully engaged and because of his constant guidance, we made this difficult campaign successful,” Dhami added.

“The health condition of all workers is under constant monitoring, and they are all doing well. The Prime Minister, with a parental concern, showed keen interest in the welfare of the workers. We are fortunate to have the leadership of the Prime Minister, ensuring the safety of every individual in the country… We have awarded each worker for the courage they displayed. Following doctors’ advice, all workers will undergo health check-ups at AIIMS Rishikesh,” added the Chief Minister.

The Uttarakhand Chief Minister also engaged with the relatives of the workers who were rescued from the Silkyara tunnel in Chinyalisaur.

CM Dhami announced that the Uttarakhand government will offer financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh to each of the workers.
