Mexico’s President: According to a web portal, Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador intends to make a written request to the UN to establish a committee made up of three world leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to support a five-year global ceasefire.

“I’ll put my suggestion in writing and deliver it to the UN. I’ve been saying it and am hoping that the media will assist us to get the word out. They don’t talk because it’s inconvenient for them, “Obrador stated during a news conference, according to the web portal.

The top committee should comprise Pope Francis, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, according to the Mexican President’s proposal.

The commission’s goal would be to come up with a plan to put an end to global conflicts and come to a consensus on the need for at least a five-year cease-fire.

“The three of them meet and quickly present a proposal to end all hostilities and come to an understanding to seek a truce of at least five years so that governments all over the world dedicate themselves to supporting their peoples, especially those who are suffering the most from the war and its effects; that we have five years without tension, without violence, and with peace,” he said.

The Mexican president has encouraged China, Russia, and the United States to work toward peace and has called for a halt to warlike behaviour, hoping that the three nations “would listen and accept an intermediation such as the one we are offering.”

“Inform them that they are to blame for this because of the conflicts they have generated in the last year. They are to blame for the global economic crisis, rising prices, food shortages, higher levels of poverty, and—worst of all—the numerous fatalities caused by clashes in only one year. That concludes a sentence. In a year, they have accomplished that “He was cited by a web portal.

The suggested cease-fire, in Obrador’s opinion, would make it easier to establish accords with Taiwan, Israel, and Palestine rather than encourage more hostilities.

Additionally, he asked all states to support the UN rather than the bureaucratic process via which suggestions and initiatives are offered.
