Quad summit 2022: Progress made & actions taken so far

In terms of healthcare, 1.2 billion vaccine doses have been given globally. In terms of infrastructure, Quad infrastructure coordination group has been formed.

The second in-person Quad summit has started in Tokyo, Japan with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, US President Joe Biden, Japan PM Fumio Kishida and newly-elected Australian PM Antony Albanese in attendance. Ahead of the big announcements that can be expected out of this summit, it is crucial to see the progress that has been made by the Quad so far, particularly the actions taken so far.

In terms of healthcare, 1.2 billion vaccine doses have been given globally. In terms of infrastructure, Quad infrastructure coordination group has been formed.

In terms of climate, the quad has formed a green shipping network and launched a clean-hydrogen partnership. In terms of education, the quad has launched a quad fellowship. In terms of semi-conductors, a semi-conductor supply chain initiative has been launched.

In terms of connectivity, 5G deployment and diversification has been launched. For cyber security, a quad senior cyber group has been formed. Meanwhile, for space, the quad has committed to share satellite data to protect earth and capacity building for sustainable development.
