Beijing has warned that Ms. Pelosi’s visit will have “extremely serious” ramifications. Hua Chunying, a spokesman for China’s Foreign Ministry, stated that the visit is not a personal act and that if the US goes forward with it, China will “legitimately take all actions required.”

A social media user supposedly shared a video depicting Taiwan’s defense’s battle readiness.

Russia has supported China, warning Washington that such a provocative trip would put the US at odds with Beijing.
