In the latest development, the Russia Angara Airline crashes in the Russia’s eastern Amur region. The flight reportedly carried 49 passengers on board including five children and six crew members.  Preliminary reports suggest that poor visibility and possible crew error during landing may have caused the crash.

The aircraft belonged to Angara Airlines, a Siberian carrier. It was an An-24 model and had gone missing from radar while it was approaching the town of Tynda, located near the border with China. Vasily Orlov, the regional governor, confirmed that the flight vanished from radar screens shortly before its expected landing.
