Delhi Police Arrests Man for Allegedly Murdering Live-in Partner, Concealing Body in Wardrobe

The Delhi Police arrested a man who allegedly murdered his live-in partner and stuffed her body inside a wardrobe due to continued pressure for marriage.

The Delhi Police apprehended a man accused of murdering his live-in partner and concealing her body inside a wardrobe due to purported pressure for marriage.

The victim, identified as Rukhsar alias Riya, was discovered deceased within the confines of the wardrobe. Investigations revealed that she had been in a live-in relationship with her acquaintance, Vipul Tailor. Shockingly, the accused, Vipul Tailor, had a prior criminal record, having been involved in 10 other cases, as per the Delhi Police.

The distressing call reporting the crime came on the night of April 3rd around 10:30 pm, prompting an immediate response from law enforcement. Upon receiving the call, a PCR unit along with additional personnel rushed to the scene in Dwarka.

Upon arrival, authorities made a chilling discovery – Rukhsar’s lifeless body concealed within a large wardrobe. Law enforcement teams, including the Crime Team and FSL, were summoned to the scene, and efforts were initiated to apprehend the accused, who was evading capture.

Evidence at the scene suggested a struggle, with superficial wounds and signs of strangulation indicating resistance from the victim. DCP Singh disclosed the suspect’s extensive criminal history, which included prior cases in Gujarat and Delhi, ranging from attempted murder to violations of the NDPS Act.

Following rigorous investigation efforts, the accused, Vipul Tailor, was eventually apprehended. Further inquiries revealed that Rukhsar and Vipul were involved in a live-in relationship, shedding light on the dynamics preceding the tragic incident.
