As per Sacnilk’s report, Coolie earned Rs 6.50 crore on Day 7, August 20, 2025, making the domestic net Rs 222.5 crore. At this point, the collection is not even surprising, this blockbuster has outshone all its competitors.
The overall Tamil and Telugu occupancy of Coolie was 20.97% and 16.48% respectively on Day 7, while the action-thriller’s Hindi occupancy was 11.69% on the same day. The mixed reviews were not able to stop the film’s banging box office collection, Thalaiva’s charm has kept fans crazy.
War 2’s Rollercoaster Ride at Box Office

The film commenced at Rs 52 crore, however, it was bashed for poor VFX and pacing. On day 2, it saw a peak of ₹57.85 crore owing to the Independence Day holiday.
On August 20, Day 7, War 2 scored a collection of Rs 5.50 crore, making it a total of Rs 199 crore, very close to the Rs 200 crore club. War 2 seems to have struggled keeping up with Coolie’s momentum, going as far as insiders calling it a “colossal disappointment” for the Spy Universe.

Coolie’s lead gives away Rajinikanth’s eternal charm, overtaking War 2 in the Hindi and the Telugu belts. That being said, if word of mouth works in favour of the film, War 2’s weekend potential and star power can cut its lead short.
