Bhutan, the Himalayan country, is ready to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi ahead of his state visit, which is scheduled to start from tomorrow.

Various posters have been placed at various places in the city, showcasing the flags of both countries.

PM Modi is all set to pay two-day state visit to Bhuatn, which is going to start from start. This two-day visit will further strength the multifaceted cooperation between neighbouring nations across various sectors, as per a press statement by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
During the visit, the Prime Minister will receive an audience with Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, the King of Bhutan and Jigme Singye Wangchuck, the Fourth King of Bhutan.
The Prime Minister will also hold talks with the Prime Minister of Bhutan, Tshering Tobgay, the MEA said.
he longstanding bilateral relationship between India and Bhutan is characterized by mutual trust, goodwill, and understanding. Notably, the King of Bhutan has made several visits to India, reinforcing the close ties between the two nations. His last visit to India was in November 2023.

PM Modi’s prior visit to Bhutan in August 2019 marked a significant milestone, unveiling major bilateral projects aimed at enhancing economic cooperation and connectivity.

The recent official visit of Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay of Bhutan to India in March 2024 further solidified the commitment of both countries to augmenting bilateral relations across various domains, including development cooperation and robust economic ties.
