The Shinde faction argues that they have two-thirds of Shiv Sena’s MLAs and now 12 MPs are also in their court. So the real Shiv Sena is theirs. However, the leaders of the Uddhav Thackeray faction are rejecting the arguments of the Shinde faction.

On Tuesday, a day before the Supreme Court (SC) hearing, the Uddhav Thackeray faction suffered a major setback. Lok Sabha Speaker recognized Rahul Shewale as Shiv Sena leader. 12 Shiv Sena MPs had yesterday met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and urged him to change the party’s leader.
