Attack on Rekha Gupta
The attack occurred at about 8 am during the public grievance hearing, which started an hour ago. Although there have been various accounts of the attack, some of them indicate that Sakriya grabbed Gupta by the hand, and she lost her balance, bumping her head against a table. In other reports, he allegedly hurled a heavy object at her, and both the object and she fell.
After the attack, Gupta was rushed for a check-up. Doctors have asserted that she is stable but in shock, with the BJP leadership emphasizing that she is still determined to carry on her Jan Sunwai sessions despite the attack.
