The exciting match between India and Pakistan in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup once again showed why it is one of the biggest rivalries in world cricket. The game was full of action and also created a new record for online viewership. According to the latest numbers, more than 45.4 crore (454 million) views were recorded on the Jio Hotstar app and website during the match. Fans across India watched the game live on their mobile phones, smart TVs, and other digital devices. This huge number clearly shows how popular the India-Pakistan rivalry is.

In comparison, India’s earlier group match against the USA had over 260 million views. That match was played on February 7, 2026, and India won by 29 runs. The India vs Namibia game also did well, getting around 240 million views. However, both matches were far behind the viewership numbers of the India-Pakistan clash. Talking about the match, India defeated Pakistan by 61 runs in their Group A game in Colombo on February 15, 2026. India batted first and scored 175 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs. Wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan played a brilliant innings, scoring 77 runs off just 40 balls. He hit 10 fours and 3 sixes, putting pressure on Pakistan’s bowlers from the beginning.

In reply, Pakistan were bowled out for only 114 runs in 18 overs. India’s bowlers, including Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Axar Patel, and Varun Chakravarthy, performed very well. Pakistan lost early wickets and could not recover. With this win, India became the first team to reach the Super Eight stage and are now at the top of the points table with six points from three matches. Pakistan must now beat Namibia to stay in the tournament.
