During this week episode of WWE Raw, Naomi stunned fans when she said she was leaving the ring. The Women World Champion has confirmed that she was indeed stepping down her title, but with the most sentimental of reasons of all, she is pregnant with her first child by husband Jimmy Uso.
Naomi Gives Up WWE Championship with Emotional Message
Naomi skipped a medical in order to play the previous week and was benched. This week, she was in the middle of the ring and she was speaking to the WWE Universe directly. Raw showed a clip of the Stephanie McMahon Podcast, where Naomi announced that she was pregnant in an emotional talk with Jimmy Uso, before her speech.
Naomi was straightforward in the ring. She did not just give Adam Pearce her WWE Women World Championship, she just placed it on the center of the canvas. She emotionally and with conviction assured that once she was done with the pregnancy she would come and reclaim her title.
The very words Naomi told were repeated in the arena: in nine months and some change she will be here again to make a fight to what she never lost inside the ring.

The remarks began to circulate in the wrestling arena as soon as Naomi made her announcement. Even fellow star Becky Lynch employed a comedic touch to remember her own 2020 in which she wrote, How irresponsible.
