We Women Want is a weekly show on NewsX that focuses on real issues that matter to women. The show not only highlights winners but also gives space to those who are struggling.
Many times, experts such as lawyers, doctors, and activists come on the show to help women find support and answers. Over time, it has become more than just a talk show, it’s become a platform where women can speak, be heard, and get help when needed.
The event today will begin with inspiring sessions featuring Drone Didis , women from rural areas who now operate drones. This will be followed by a talk with Lakhpati Didis, rural women entrepreneurs who have changed their lives through small businesses.
One of the most emotional sessions will be War Against The Beasts, which will feature Asha Devi, the mother of Nirbhaya, and the parents of the RG Kar rape victim. They will talk about their painful journeys and the long fight for justice.
Throughout the day, there will be panel discussions on many topics like women’s health, body image, the growing use of weight loss drugs like Ozempic, Ayurveda, real estate, business, and more. Experts like nutritionist Ishi Khosla, actor Nimrat Kaur, and designer Ritu Beri will take part in these sessions.
The highlight of the event will be the Shakti Awards, which will be given out in two rounds during the day. These awards are meant to honour women who have made a strong impact in their fields, from business and health to arts, science, and social work.
