Indian markets are set for a positive start this Monday, with GIFT Nifty futures trading over 100 points higher in early hours. Despite mixed signals from global markets, sentiment at home appears optimistic. As of 7:44 AM, GIFT Nifty was up 108.5 points at 24,813.5, hinting at a strong open for both Sensex and Nifty.

Looking ahead, the week is expected to stay action-packed. All eyes will be on the RBI’s monetary policy decision, which could set the tone for interest rate expectations. Investors will also track updates on the India-US trade deal, any movement on US tariffs, and key macro data releases, both global and domestic.

Meanwhile, global markets painted a mixed picture. In Asia, Japan’s Nikkei was down, but South Korea’s Kospi and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng posted gains. In the U.S., the S&P 500 and Nasdaq ended higher, while the Dow slipped slightly.
