In an unexpected twist, a young man and woman who were lovers in the Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh were forcibly married off on each other after being caught red-handed by the village people and relatives as they were riding on a bike.
Villagers Force Young Couple to Marry at Temple
The accident took place on a Saturday (27 September). The young boyfriend and girlfriend were also caught red-handed riding with a bike. The villagers summoned their parents and on their and their parents being caught they were married off in a temple.
The two lovers are reported to have met at the market where the boyfriend operates a tea stall in the village. They even used to do it secretly so as not to be caught by any of the family members or the villagers.
It is known that this guy is Sonu Mourya, 20 years and the girl, Nisha Mourya, 19 years. Both of them went in a ride on Saturday when Sonu picked up Nisha who was in the neighborhood of her house.
Families Forced Couple to Wed
At the end of the ride, Sonu had left Nisha in the riverside of the village and some of the villagers saw them together. They notified and summoned the family members of the two lovers at once.
A man and a woman who were found together in Gonda, Khodare police station area, were married by their families in the Ram Janaki Temple. There were large number of people who attended the wedding. The video of the marriage of the lovers in the temple is currently going viral in social media.
The lovers in the viral video are standing outside the temple, both of them are garlanding each other, and the lover is performing the marriage ritual by putting vermillion on the forehead of his girlfriend with his hand.
