As WWE Clash in Paris approaches, tonight in Philadelphia, the latest Monday Night Raw show is going to determine the course of the journey to the mega Premium Live Event. Viewers watching on Netflix will see key events that may reframe several championship images going into August 31.
Naomi’s Women’s World Championship Status
The focus still rests on Naomi, the wrestler that was yanked off last week in the run-up to her defense against IYO SKY. This was secret because she is not fit to compete medically. That will be over tonight when she walks into the Xfinity Mobile Arena to provide the WWE Universe with an update.
The next challenger of the Women World Championship is already confirmed, Stephanie Vaquer will face her in Clash in Paris. Nevertheless, there is doubt whether Naomi will heal in time to defend her title or not. On SmackDown, Michael Cole revealed that Naomi will appear live on Raw, to make a huge announcement.
Seth Rollins and The Vision Dominate WWE Raw
Seth Rollins is continuing to have fun as a World Heavyweight Champion. Rollins has been on rampage unmasking his knee injury as a hoax at SummerSlam. CM Punk, LA Knight and Jey Uso are just a few of the Superstars who have experienced his Vision as they prepare to Clash in Paris.
Tonight, Rollins will assault Jey Uso by having Bron Breakker to battle him in Philadelphia. There is a deep rivalry between them, and both men have won over each other with the Intercontinental Championship. It is the newest fight that will be a hot chapter in their rough-and-tumble feud.
WWE Raw Match Card and High-Stakes Showdowns
Raw also provides a lot of championship action, when Becky Lynch defends the Women Intercontinental Championship against Natalya. Natalya gets a second opportunity to her first singles championship after eight years after winning the silver medal at AAA Triplemania XXXIII. However, on the other side of the ring there is The Man, who is not going to surrender so easily.
The other bout will be IYO SKY against Raquel Rodriguez. After a surprise loss to Roxanne Perez last week after an interference by the Kabuki Warriors, SKY is looking to find her footing in preparation of her potential gold run against Stephanie Vaquer. Tonight she atones.
Xavier Woods Seeks Redemption on WWE Raw
The New Day are still recovering after they lost in the World Tag Team Championships to Judgement Day. In particular, Xavier Woods has been a target, since he was brutally attacked by Penta last Monday. Woods takes pride on the line and now he wants to avenge his defeat against Penta.
Roman Reigns is nowhere to be found following being laid out by The Vision two weeks ago, but The OTC is being advertised to appear on the show tonight. Full of moving parts, big-name rivalries, and a big show to put on, Philadelphia is going to have an action-packed Raw that may ripple the WWE landscape into Clash in Paris.
