The Kansas City Chiefs tight end and the “Cruel Summer” singer announced their engagement on Instagram Tuesday, sharing a series of photos taken in Kelce’s garden, adorned with lush greenery and pink-and-white florals.
The first image showed Kelce on one knee, holding a ring box and gazing up at Swift. In other snapshots, Swift is seen tenderly cradling Kelce’s face while displaying her glittering engagement ring, which Page Six Style previously reported could be valued at up to $1 million.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨,” the couple, both 35, captioned the post, set to Swift’s track “So High School” from her 2024 album *The Tortured Poets Department.

The garden setting has drawn comparisons to Swift’s 2019 album Lover, which featured artwork resembling the engagement location.
Fans took to X to note the similarity, with one writing, “the place where they got engaged looks just like the garden where Taylor had the Lover photoshoot,” while another commented, “Taylor and Travis getting engaged in the Lover-like garden.”

When Did Travis Kelce And Taylor Swift Engage?
According to Page Six the proposal took place “a couple of weeks ago.” Ed Kelce, Travis’ father, later confirmed the timing in an interview with Cleveland’s ABC News 5.
Travis’ mother, Donna Kelce, had previously hinted at the milestone.
Speaking to People on Sunday, she said, “I think his mind is settled. That’s about all I can tell you.” She added, “I think he feels calm and he feels like he’s on a mission and he knows exactly what he wants.”
The engagement quickly drew attention from fans and celebrities alike. Even Meghan Markle “liked” the post, overshadowing the Season 2 premiere of her show, With Love, Meghan.
Surprisingly, President Donald Trump also extended his congratulations from the White House.
