Eknath Shinde Viral Video: While making a political visit, a momentary twist occurred on Thursday afternoon when the helicopter carrying Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde was compelled to alter its route owing to bad weather over the rural areas of Thane. As per reports, the Deputy Chief Minister had taken off at 3.30 pm from the Mahalaxmi Racecourse Helipad to attend a wedding ceremony connected to one of his party workers in Murbad. But just after the helicopter passed by the stretch of Airoli, the weather conditions suddenly worsened.

Mid-air scare for Eknath Shinde, what really happened?

According to official sources, there were dark clouds coupled with stormy weather ahead, which raised an instant alarm inside the cockpit. Sources revealed that the pilot made an assessment of the weather and briefed the Deputy Chief Minister of the impending danger of proceeding further ahead.

In lieu of that, the pilot took the immediate decision to divert the helicopter route and flew back to Mumbai. Very soon, the helicopter made its landing in Juhu Pawan Hans. This instant decision prevented any accident caused by adverse weather that occurred in the rural areas of Thane on Thursday afternoon.

Were there any casualties?

No one was hurt in the crash, and all passengers on board were accounted for and found to be in good condition. In addition to Shinde, other people who had traveled in the helicopter included Shinde’s Personal Assistant, Prabhakar Kale, the Officer on Special Duty, Balasingh Rajput, the OSD for Public Relations, Vinayak Patrudkar, along with others. The Deputy Chief Minister and his team soon moved to their official residence following the smooth landing. The duration of the incident may have been brief, but it was enough to remind many about how fickle the weather in Mumbai can suddenly become, particularly when flying in its crowded skies.
