Delhiites are likely to expect warm temperatures with light rains today (August 21, 2025). According to AQI.in, the temperatures will reach 33.3 degree Celsius while the minimum temperature will drop to 28 degrees Celsius at night. There is also a 86 per cent chance of rain with the humidity levels at 62 per cent. The wind speeds will be at 17.6 km/h. Also, it is expected that the sunrise will start at 5:53 AM. There is a forecast of patchy rain in the afternoon. Meanwhile, there will be slightly cooler conditions in the evening.

Weather updates in Mumbai 

In the case of Mumbai, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) today, August 21, 2025 issued a warning for heavy rain and thunderstorms for Mumbai. The warning has also been issued for some other Maharashtra districts. The residents have been advised to remain indoors. They are also advised to avoid going into low-lying or flood-prone areas. 

For the Thane, Palghar, Raigad, and Ratnagiri districts, red warning has been issued. Airlines have also issued advisories for the commuters and warned them about the delays and traffic issues due to waterlogging on many routes. Multiple local train services have also been cancelled for today due to heavy waterlogging in several regions. 

As many as 782 passengers were rescued on August 19, 2025, Tuesday evening after two overcrowded Monorail trains on elevated tracks got stuck between stations in Mumbai due to the torrential rains. According to the officials, some of the suburbs in Mumbai received more than 200 mm rainfall in the 21-hour period ending at 5.30 am on August 20, 2025, Wednesday.
