WWE legend Jeff Hardy has waded in the ring saying he has a deep wish to have just one more death defying encounter with his opponent this time a retirement match against Roman Reigns. Reigns, who just got back to WWE competition in the wake of a post WrestleMania 41 absence in order to take on Bronson Reed at Clash in Paris, now finds himself the subject of an impassioned challenge issued by Hardy, who views, the match as appropriately epic to sign off his career.

The back street stuff that Hardy is interested in is not mere mindless trivia. This year, earlier, he wrestled with his brother Matt Hardy in the WWE NXT and despite being another new entrant, he dominated SummerSlam. Such encounters have fuelled the debate that a full circle picture could end with a marquee match up.

Catching up on the Reigns, about his incredible reign of dominance, lasting more than a millennium of days, to transforming himself to become the Tribal Chief, Hardy complimented the Tribal Chief. He described the run of Reigns as being on another level implying that since it had been vintage, a retirement match with such an warrior as Reigns would serve as an incredible send off. Probably there could be no more interesting time. Reigns has insinuated that his current WWE contract is only one or two years after WrestleMania 42, and that he may retire after retention for a time thereafter to engage in other kinds of much less physical entertainment. In the interim, retirement rumors have been increasingly louder through fodder heavy plot lines including the betrayal of Paul Heyman in WrestleMania 41, which has placed fans on edge as to whether Reigns is perhaps already on his way out.

Fueling the rumor mill further, admirers and talent throughout WWE land have attached themselves to the prospect of a highly decorated retirement bout, several have pictured Reigns facing off against legends Cody Rhodes, John Cena, or even Hardy himself. The WWE Universe awaits to see Reigns as he gets set to challenge Reed in Paris.
