On October 2, 2025, the historic grounds of the Red Fort in Delhi will merge Tradition with Bollywood glamour: An invitation to perform the Ravan Dahan ceremony was sent to actor Bobby Deol, who has accepted it. Deol will enthrall all with his distinctive charm in the climactic performance of the Luv Kush Ramlila, which annually sees lakhs of spectators, as he is one of the most virulent yet revived modern actors.

This ceremonial killing of the effigy of the demon king Ravana is what Vijayadashami is all about: The ever-prevalent victory of good over evil. The other objective seems to seize public interest by integrating the cultural significance of the Ramlila with the glamour of a big celebrity. The end result should be an extravagant show to remember.

Celebrity Engagement and Ramlila

Ramnagar Ravan Dahan, performed in the famous Red Fort grand celebration of Delhi, seems to have a historical tradition and therefore captures the limelight as a national headline. The Luv Kush Ramlila Committee invited Bobby Deol for the 2025 edition, who has recently been making a comeback in the industry.

His confirmation strengthens the trend of blending cinematic star power with religious and cultural festivities. The committee hopes his presence will largely boost the audience attendance by attracting the interest of younger people to watch the age-old theatrical performance of the Ramayana and the grand fiery finale.

The Grandeur of Ravan Dahan

The Ravan Dahan, in fact, is an elaborate affair in terms of the massive artwork and the pyrotechnics involved. On October 2, these beautiful gigantic effigies of Ravana, his brother Kumbhakarna, and son Meghnad shall stand on the grounds of the Red Fort in Delhi. These towering effigies, often exceeding 100 ft in height, are artistically handcrafted by a special work crew that spends several weeks working upon them in bamboo and paper packed with environment-friendly fireworks.

As the sun sets on the auspicious Vijay Muhurat, Bobby Deol will ceremoniously pull the bowstring and light the effigies in a shower of sound and light. It is a theatrical finale confirming the collective victory of righteousness for all gathered there-the triumph of Lord Rama, narrated through the preceding course of Ramlila.
