BTS, the global K-pop stars, sent their dedicated ARMYs into an uproar with a surprise Weverse livestream from a beach in Los Angeles, gaining over 4 million views in a record seven minutes. This was the first OT7 reunion heavily and full-on since Jin’s solo tour, setting the fire for their comeback in 2026.

Celebration of OT7 Reunion by the Sea

BTS members RM, Suga, Jin, Jimin, V, J-Hope, and Jungkook reunited for a Weverse live on August 17, 2025-a sufficient craziness turned heartwarming yet casual beach session. The group laughed, teased, and greeted fans, with V being very happy to have Jin back after his RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR.

Even though the live was short, this confirmed, BTS are back in the studio preparing their album to be released in the Spring of 2026. Fans opened up on X about their emotional reactions; one wrote, “My precious OT7, my purple heart will explode with happiness”, which showed the joy of seeing their seven members together.

Emotional Messages from ARMY on Social Media

The reunion live set millions of emotions in ARMYs, with hashtags like #Bangtan seeing global trends. Fan accounts were flooded with emotional posts; one read, “It’s been so long since I’ve seen them all together at a beach, now it feels like we’ve reached the ocean”; and another calling it “Blessed Sunday,” while appreciating the members’ happy and healthy vibes.

The 4.2 million views put a stamp on BTS’ unquantifiable influence, where fans were celebrating the end of the military hiatus, which was until June 2025, together with the excitement for new music.

Looking Ahead to BTS’ Comeback

BTS is presently in Los Angeles, creating the much-awaited album of 2026, which guarantees to intersperse the respective ideas of each member. The group is also hinting towards a world tour in continuation of its phenomenal success in 2022 Permission to Dance on Stage with over 4 million fans attending.

With solo projects like Jungkook’s Golden and Jin’s Echo keeping the fans occupied during the hiatus, this reunion marks the comeback of BTS in reclaiming global supremacy with their music.
