IPL 2026: Who Won Yesterday’s Match Between SRH and RCB? – Check Top Scorers, Man of The Match And More

Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru: Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bengaluru faced off in a crucial Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. While both teams had qualified for the IPL 2026 playoffs before playing their final league games, this match would decide who would play in Qualifier 1. SRH needed a big win to make sure they toppled RCB when it came to NRR. However, while the Orange Army got the two points, their win by 55 runs was not enough. The hosts, thanks to Ishan Kishan’s 79 off 46, scored 255 runs in the first innings. SRH then restricted the defending champions to a score of 200 runs at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. However, a 55-run defeat meant that the Rajat Patidar-led side finished at the top of the points table after the SRH vs RCB match. 

SRH vs RCB: Match Summary And First Innings Performance

Sunrisers Hyderabad, having won the toss, decided to bat first at home. Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head provided a firing start to the innings, scoring 45 runs in the first four overs. Abhishek went on to make a half-century, scoring 56 off 22 balls. Meanwhile, Ishan Kishan, Heinrich Klaasen, and Nitish Kumar Reddy ensured that SRH did not let their foot off the pedal. Kishan scored 79 runs in 46 balls, hitting eight fours and three sixes. Klaasen, with 51 off 24, and Reddy, with 29 off 12, provided the required finishing touch to the innings. 

Rasikh Salam Dar picked up a couple of wickets for RCB, while Suyash Sharma and Krunal Pandya took a wicket each as well. RCB’s senior pacers, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood, went for 106 runs in their eight overs while being wicketless.

SRH vs RCB: Sunrisers Hyderabad wins by 55 runs

Needing to register a thumping victory, Sunrisers Hyderabad were put on the back foot early in the second innings by Venkatesh Iyer. Opening the batting, Iyer scored 44 runs off 19 balls. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli was dismissed after scoring 15 runs in 11 balls. While the target was anyway going to be pretty steep for the Royal Challengers, their skipper Rajat Patidar made a crucial fifty to make sure they did not lose their Qualifier 1 spot. Krunal Pandya scored 41 runs in 31 balls as SRH ended up with a score of 200 runs. 

SRH vs RCB: Top Scorers And Man Of The Match Award

Ishan Kishan was the top scorer of the SRH vs RCB match. The left-handed wicketkeeper batter scored 76 runs in 46 balls to power the Sunrisers Hyderabad to a score of 255 runs. He was also named the player of the match for his knock. Kishan struck eight fours and three sixes in his inning shwile going at a strike rate of 171.74.
