A woman who is 23 years old from Manipur works as a nanny for a couple, Amar and Anshu, who live on the Indian Institute of Management Bengaluru campus. This nanny says that her employers treated her badly, they hurt her, did not give her food, and would not let her leave the house for several years.
The police know about this because the woman made a complaint. She started working for Amar and Anshu in June 2021. The nanny says that she was treated badly and hurt many times while she worked for them. When she was sick, they did not give her food. They also hurt her time.

Abuse Allegations

The nanny says that her employers took away her phone. They hit her times when she talked to other people. They watched her all the time. Did not let her leave the house when she wanted to. Something bad happened on April 15 at 2:30 am. The employer hurt her. Pulled her hair. After that, the woman was very scared. Did not go to the police right away.

Neighbours Step In

The people who live near Amar and Anshu helped the nanny. This happened on May 4 when the employers did not give her food again. The nanny went to her neighbours for help. They gave her bananas and paranthas to eat and let her use their phone. The nanny used the phone to call her aunt and the president of the Kuki Students Organisation, Bangalore. Then they told the police what was happening.

FIR Filed

The police are looking into what the nanny said. They want to know if Amar and Anshu really did keep her locked up, hurt her, and did not give her the things she needed for years. The police have started an investigation. They are looking at all the things the nanny said happened to her. The nanny, from Manipur, is finally getting some help.
