The Bloodline family tree is set to become even larger. On Monday Night Raw, WWE Women’s World Champion Naomi announced that she is pregnant, and thus will be taking time off. The news was announced on the Stephanie McMahon podcast where she was accompanied by her husband, Jimmy Uso.
Roman Reigns reacts to Naomi and Jimmy Uso news
Among the reactions that were notable, there were those of numerous WWE stars who were happy about the announcement. Roman Reigns, Uso cousin and former Undisputed WWE Champion, posted an Instagram message Tuesday night saying he was excited.
“Welp,” Reigns said. “Time to start over. Looks like he’s got the youngest now, I don’t got the babies. We’re in school, we’re good, man. We’re starting to empty our house out. He’s gotta start back over, that’s awesome.”
He followed up with heartfelt words, saying, “Congrats, love both of y’all. It’s a blessing. To have our family continue to grow, nothing like it. This is completely god sent. Congrats guys. Love y’all.”
Naomi opens up about personal challenges
This pregnancy is more personal to Naomi. She is 37 with this being her first child, and Uso has two children of a previous marriage. Naomi has confessed that she had fertility issues in the past years and even underwent a painful surgery to remove one of her ovaries.
In spite of these, she expressed her happiness in being a parent, saying that the gift was realized after a long process. Fans and other wrestlers were not the only people moved by her openness and courage to tell her story publicly.
The Bloodline legacy continues in WWE
The announcement caused also a funny moment on Raw, as the jokes were made on how now there is the second generation in The Bloodline dynasty. His kids are getting older, as Reigns quipped, but Jimmy Uso is bringing a new baby into the family.
Reigns himself is a father of five including two sets of twins, and family is central to his personal life as well as to his WWE identity. His rivalry with The Usos has formed the main plot of the Bloodline storyline, one of the most successful family-based storylines in the company.
Generational strength of the Anoa’i family
The Usos and Reigns are the sons of a decorated wrestling dynasty that dates back to decades. Jimmy and Jey Uso are sons of WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi and Reigns is the son of Sika, one of the great Wild Samoans tag teams.
The two would be the foundations of the first Bloodline group in WWE, and they would be one of the most notable families in wrestling history. During Raw, fans even broke into chants of “OTC,” echoing Naomi’s playful Bloodline remark, further proving the strong connection between the family and the audience.
With Naomi leaving to concentrate on her pregnancy, the wrestling world not only celebrates her personal triumph but the perpetuation of a legacy that has characterized WWE over the generations.
