The much-awaited Kannada suspense thriller Shodha’s streaming date is finally revealed. After much anticipation, this surely promises to generate crowds. Earlier, set to be released on August 22, 2025 ON ZEE5, this six-part series will now begin to stream on August 29, 2025, and serving sensational thrills as it mixes elements of mystery, deception, and psychological drama.
Shodha: New Chapter for Pawan Kumar
With cult classics like Lucia and U-Turn, Pawan Kumar comes to limelight as lead actor in Shodha with his very first big acting role in a web series. In the series, Kumar plays Rohit, a morally ambiguous lawyer entrapped in a chilling story where his wife Meera (Siri Ravikumar) goes missing without a trace but mysteriously turns up.
It is expected that Kumar’s performance, enriched with his contribution as script doctor, would add emotional depth and credibility to the whole project, giving Kannada cinema lovers a reason to watch Shodha. Directed by Sunil Mysooru and written by Suhas Navarathna, Shodha makes a fine balancing act of Kodava folklore with modern moral dilemmas, raising the bar for regional OTT content.
Shodha’s Suspenseful Plot and Star Cast
Shodha is a gripping suspense thriller set loosely against the canvas of Madikeri, Coorg. The trailer hints at a psychological thriller where Rohit questions Meera’s authenticity as she is drowned in crisscrossing questions of lies and loyalties.
The ensemble cast comprises Siri Ravikumar, Arun Sagar, Anusha Ranganath, and Saptami Gowda, promising a mind-blowing performance. With music by Arjun Ramu and cinematography by Rahul Roy, Shodha is going to serve the viewers, perhaps both visually and emotionally, keeping the audience at the edge of their seats.
ZEE5’s Step For Promotion of Kannada
Shodha, which succeeded Ayyana Mane, is ZEE5’s second original Kannada web series that evidently showcases the commitment of the platform toward regional storytelling. Produced under KRG Studios, the show attempts to put Kannada content on the international map, streaming to over 190 countries.
Rumours were that the show has a lot of similarities to its Hindi counterpart Khoj – Parchaiyo Ke Uss Paar, though Kumar made it clear that Shodha tells a whole different tale, blended with cultural authenticity which keeps in tune with modern pace, thus making it excitingly worthy watch.
