The Sholay actor, Dharmendra, who was admitted to a Mumbai hospital over a week ago after complaining of severe breathlessness, is currently under medical supervision, according to reports. It suggest that the actor is responding to treatment, no official statement has yet been released by either his family or the hospital regarding his current condition. Few media reports claimed that the actor died but those claims aren’t true.
Veteran Actor Dharmendra Under Observation
Sources revealed that Dharmendra had been admitted for routine medical tests and is in stable condition. “There is absolutely no cause for concern. He is doing fine and often visits the hospital for regular check-ups. Someone likely saw him at the hospital and spread false information, causing panic among fans,” a team member told the sources
Routine Health Tests, Not An Emergency
According to the insiders, Dharmendra himself chose to remain at the hospital for a few days to complete multiple medical tests at once. “Given his age, daily travel can be tiring. He decided to stay back and finish all tests together rather than commuting each day,” as per the sources.
The veteran actor had also been hospitalized on October 31 for a similar routine check-up. His team reiterated at the time that it was nothing serious and that the actor regularly undergoes medical examinations as a precaution.
Hema Malini Reassures Fans
Earlier this month, after Dharmendra’s hospital visit, his wife, actor and politician Hema Malini, assured fans that there was no cause for concern. When asked about his health by photographers at the airport, she smiled, gestured that he was “okay,” and thanked everyone for their concern.
