NEW DELHI: In what is likely to escalate the trouble for the Aam Aadmi Party, former MLA of the party Rajesh Garg has claimed that ‘more than 12 current MLAs of the AAP boast of fake degrees’, a report said on Thursday.
According to a media report, Garg said that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal should get this investigated by the anti-corruption bureau and present the facts before people.
In an interview to a Hindi daily, the rebel leader said that the investigation should be done for those AAP leaders who contested assembly elections in 2013 and 2015. He added that this will expose the reality of these leaders. Garg also alleged that these MLAs have presented different academic degrees in both these elections.
Further accusing Karol Bagh MLA Vishesh Ravi for the same, Garg claimed of getting his degree checked and said that it is a fake degree adding that he shall soon approach the Delhi Police regarding the matter.
Garg even accused AAP MLAs of having criminal records in the past but according to his charges, Election Commission is not aware of it.
“Arvind Kejriwal should get this matter investigated and reveal the truth about these public representatives,” Garg said in his interview.
