Mumbai: A biography of veteran actor Shashi Kapoor, unveiling the chapters of his personal and professional life, released on Friday.
 
The biography titled “Shashi Kapoor – the Householder, the Star”, has been authored by film journalist Aseem Chhabra and it attempts to delve into the nature and nurture of the 78-year-old actor.
 
Shashi Kapoor led a star studded life right from birth. In short, he was born with a silver spoon. Initially named Balbir Raj Prithviraj Kapoor, the actor was born on 18th of March, 1938 in Kolkatta. Belonging to the famous ‘Kapoor Khandhan’, Shashi Kapoor is the youngest of the three brothers. 
 
 
Beginning his career in Bollywood as a child actor, he often played the younger version of Raj Kapoor’s character. These roles sure did mold his acting career and he became the star in making.
 
Sharing the news, filmmaker Karan Johar took to Twitter on Friday and posted: Shashi Kapoor: The Householder, The Star, written by Aseem Chabbra, and forward by yours truly! It’s out now”.
 
Kapoor, who was felicitated with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2015, is known for his work in films like “Waqt”, “Deewar”, “Trishul” and “Utsav”.
